
This far north football is played during the summer when the days are long and the weather less challenging. The season runs from April to September.
There are 25 teams in 3 divisions for 2009 with promotion and relegation between the top two divisions. Reserve teams now have their own league. The Junior League (under 18 years old) is administered by the OAFA.
"A" LEAGUE
The top league in 2009 has 8 teams competing for the Brough Cup. The team finishing bottom will be relegated to the "B" League for 2010.
"B" LEAGUE
The 10 teams in this division contest the Kenny Burns Memorial Trophy. The team finishing top in 2009 gains promotion to the "A" League for 2010.
RESERVE LEAGUE
For 2009 this division has 7 second-string teams competing for the Matthew Monkman Trophy.
